Lessons with a private dance instructor guarantee both the comfort and the quality of your learning experience. Say goodbye to crowded dance studios, where you have to deal with different levels and onlookers as well! Thanks to Savoir-Danser, you choose the time and date, and your instructor conducts the lessons, geared towards your strengths, at your own pace. With private lessons you advance more rapidly, as mistakes and “bad” habits are immediately corrected. You will advance three times more quickly than in a group class, in the comfort of your own home.
All of Savoir-Danser's instructors are certified teachers, dance enthusiasts and top level specialists. Some teach at professional dance studios and others perform with professional troupes. Learning with one of our qualified instructors is a time-saving and effective way to enhance your dance skills.
After each lesson, we email you a questionnaire about your last session. Your input and opinion allow us to maintain quality service and customer satisfaction.
When you register for a lesson, you choose the date and the time of your session. The lesson takes place at your home. When the instructor arrives at the stipulated time the lessons starts right away.
A normal session lasts one full hour. However, upon request it is possible for our instructors to conduct 90 minute sessions (in the case of a group class, for example).
How much space is needed for at home dance lessons?
Dancing, of course, requires space, and if you don't have enough space you won't fully benefit from your lessons. For most dances, 4m2 per person should be allowed. Certain dances require more vertical space, such as acrobatic rock 'n' roll with its throws, and other dances make more noise. Before your African dance lesson, we recommend you inform the neighbors in the apartment beneath yours! As a rule, however, once your coffee table is pushed aside, your living room should be big enough to accommodate your private lessons.
Does the dance instructor provide the music? And the sound system?
Our instructors bring their own CDs with musical selections appropriate for teaching. However as CD players, stereos, etc. are too bulky to carry, students are required to have a CD player in their home.
We work with teachers all over France, but in certain regions we cannot guarantee all styles of dance. Fill out one of our forms to find out more. We will get back to you within 48 hours.
What is included in the price? Are there any additional charges?
The price includes the teacher's travel expenses, a one hour lesson and the teacher's and client's insurance coverage (civil liability). The price is all inclusive. There are no extra costs.
Lessons are paid directly to Savoir-Danser, by check or by bank transfer. You are billed at the end of every month and in no case have to pay your instructor.
What does the “service à la personne” certification mean?
Our company (an affiliate of Sports-Pros sarl), certified “service à la personne”, enables our clients to receive a tax deduction at the end of the year. This fiscal deduction only applies to private, at home lessons. Small group and group classes, as well as classes conducted anywhere other than your home, do not qualify for the tax break.
The company Sports-pros SARL sends you a certificate stating the amount spent during the year for on private, at home dance lessons. This sum is to be filed on your French tax form as such:
- cadre 7 « charges ouvrant droit à réduction d'impôts »
- ligne DF "emploi d'un salarié à domicile"
