Savoir-Danser dance instruction qualifies under French tax law as a "Service à la personne”, allowing you to receive a 50% tax deduction on total expenses incurred.
Only private lessons (classes with one participant) conducted at your home qualify for the deduction. GROUP CLASSES DO NOT QUALIFY and are offered by the company Danse-Pros SARL, a non-certified establishment.
Example: In 2007, you spent €1000 on at home dance lessons. At the end of the year, Savoir-Danser issues a certificate for tax purposes allowing you to qualify for a €500 tax deduction in 2008. Your dance classes end up costing 500€.
